In the story of Hansel & Gretel, Hansel left a trail of breadcrumbs as a strategy to find the way back home. In the parlance of web design, " breadcrumbs"(see above for example) are designed into web pages as a navigation tool for users. In this example, the user is looking at the "Leaves of Absence" information page, but can return to either "Making Benefits Changes" page or the Home Page by selecting the link to "Making Benefits Changes" or the "Home" icon.
