Changes for 2008

Life Insurance

• The plan is not open for enrollment this year.
• Expanded dependent life insurance has added an accelerated benefit option (ABO) to spouse/domestic partner coverage for 2008. The Living Benefit Option allows a terminally ill member, under specified conditions, to be paid up to 50 percent (with a $50,000 maximum) of their life insurance coverage while they are living.

Disability

• The plan is not open for enrollment this year.
• Premium rates for 2008 are increasing 15.2% across all age bands and waiting periods. This is the first rate increase in many years, and employees are still paying less than they did five years ago.
• Use the Insurance Premium Calculator to determine your monthly premium for 2008.
• The first increased premium will be deducted from February 1, 2008 paychecks.

Accidental Death & Dismemberment

• The plan is open for enrollment year round.
• An AIG Identity Theft program will be added at no additional cost to assist identity theft victims.
