[June 8, 2011]
June 17 at 5 p.m. is the deadline for staff to vote in the UC Retirement System Advisory Board election.
Seven candidates are vying for two open seats on the board. The board meets three times each year to discuss issues pertaining to UC’s retirement plans and shares ideas with President Mark G. Yudof.
All active UCRP members who are not part of the Academic Senate may vote in the online election.
Information about the candidates is available on the UCRS Advisory Board election website
VR Election Services (VRES) is sending an email reminding staff that have not yet voted to do so. The email includes a link to the electronic ballot, a unique PIN and voting instructions. The PIN ensures that eligible voters cast only one ballot.
Staff without email addresses on file received voting instructions and a PIN for voting online in the mail to their home address. The members can either mail in the paper ballot or vote online using the PIN provided in the election packet.
If staff members have problems with the online ballot or prefer a paper ballot, they can contact VRES via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or call them toll-free at 1-800-218-4026, Monday-Friday, 6:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. PDT.
Final election results will be posted at the UCRS Advisory Board election website by the end of June.
