[January 7, 2008]

The University is currently making an effort to locate non-vested inactive members of the UC Retirement Plan who have balances in their Capital Accumulation Provision (CAP) accounts so that they may receive a distribution or rollover the money from these accounts.

The UC Retirement Plan requires that these members receive a distribution of their CAP funds when they leave University employment. UC has engaged a third party business partner, Pension Benefit Information (PBI), to obtain confirmed addresses for these members so UC may contact them.

If you happen to receive this letter from PBI, please be assured that the letter is legitimate and confirm your mailing address with PBI so that UC can send more specific information to you.
