The July 1, 1999, cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) rate for UCRP retirees and other benefit recipients varies for different groups depending on the member's date of retirement or disability:

Retirement/Disability Date               COLA Rate

July 2, 1993, to July 1, 1998              2.00%
July 2, 1992, to July 1, 1993              2.45%
On or before July 1, 1992                  2.00%

The July issue of New Dimensions, which will mail later this month, will include an article with more information on COLAs. Also, COLA recipients can expect to receive a postcard about this year's increase after the middle of July.
