[November 14, 2002] Although Open Enrollment materials were mailed to employees over two weeks ago, many employees still have not received them. (The annuitant mailing was not affected.) The Post Office is trying to determine where the missing materials are and why they werent delivered. Because of the mailing problem, Benefits Offices and UC UC Customer Service Center are experiencing heavy call volume and may be difficult to reach. If you are an employee who did not receive your materials, you can go online to get all the information you need to make informed Open Enrollment decisions. Here are the steps to follow:
(Annuitants who did not receive their materials should contact UC UC Customer Service Center.) You can compare medical plans using the interactive Medical Plan Chooser. Check with the plan directly or use Find a Doctor to find a physician or a physicians PCP number. Health Pages also provides access to plan drug formulary information. If you still have a question, please attend your local Benefits Fair. If you decide to make a change, complete the Open Enrollment Worksheet on page 38 of the California Open Enrollment booklet or page 30 of the Los Alamos booklet and make your phone call. You can use your UC PIN to access the Open Enrollment Action Line: 1-800-639-3779. We apologize for the inconvenience these extra steps may cause you. As we learn more about the problem with the mailing, we will share the information with you. Remember, you have until midnight on November 30 to make your changes. |
