[April 6, 2001 ] UC's Human Resources and Benefits is pleased to announce the availability of a new employee self-service web application, Your Benefits Summary. This summary uses an employee's personal information to provide a comprehensive display of the employee's future University of California Retirement Plan (UCRP) income, as well as account balance projections for the Capital Accumulation Provision (CAP), and Defined Contribution (DC) and 403(b) plans. Current health and welfare plan enrollments are also available. This web tool is modeled after the annual Personal Benefits Statement, which UC HR/Benefits mailed to employees in the past. To access the summary, please go directly to the UCbencom website and select the "Your Benefits Summary" icon in the right-hand column of the home page. You will need your Social Security number and UC PIN (Personal Identification Number) to access your summary. Retirement projections are available for employees who are vested in UCRP (have already earned five years of UCRP service credit) and for employees that will have five years of service credit by age 60. Employees with less than five years of service credit by age 60, former employees, and employees who would like to model different retirement scenarios than those presented in the new summary, may wish to use the Retirement Plan Benefits Estimator. Additionally, Forecast Your Fortune is available for 403(b) Plan projections. Employees who have questions regarding this newest feature of UCbencom should contact their local Benefits Office. |
