The University of California, Office of the President, has established an emergency loan fund up to $5,000 that can be used for immediate needs related to the Cerro Grande fire. All Laboratory employees (including UC retirees and students), DOE Los Alamos Area Office employees and all citizens of the community who were displaced by the fire and are experiencing financial hardship are eligible.

Terms

Effective February 1, 2001, all loans will bear an interest rate of 6.45%. Repayment may be via payroll deduction or by personal check. Complete the Loan Application and indicate whether you want to have your payments taken by payroll deduction. In the event of late payment, a late payment fee of $10 will be assessed to cover administrative costs of processing late payments. A University official must sign all promissory notes.

Completed, signed Loan Application should be forwarded to:
