[March 22, 2000]
Beginning April 1, 2000, the Vision Service Plan (VSP) Laser VisionCare(SM) program will be available to UC employees and their enrolled family members. Laser vision correction has become an option for many people who are farsighted, nearsighted or who have an astigmatism.
VSP's program includes a Laser VisionCare Learning Source(SM) education program, designed to help you make an informed choice about this surgical procedure. Visit VSP's website to learn more.
To use Laser VisionCare, call your VSP doctor to find out if he or she is participating in the program. If you don't have a VSP doctor, you can find one on their website or by calling VSP at 1-888-354-4434.
Next, schedule a complimentary screening and consultation on the benefits and risks of laser vision correction. Your VSP doctor will provide pre-operative care and can also make arrangements with one of the many VSP approved laser surgeons and centers.
