Members contribute 3.5 percent of their salary and UC contributes 7 percent. Beginning July 1, 2012, members will contribute 5 percent and UC will contribute 10 percent.
Membership
In most cases, if you're hired to work at UC continuously for at least 50%
time for one year or longer, you're automatically an active member of UCRP.
Retirement Benefits
UCRP members may choose a monthly retirement benefit or a lump sum cashout.

Capital Accumulation Payment (CAP)
UCRP members employed at certain periods received a supplemental retirement
benefit based on allocations that continue to accrue interest.
Service Credit
Service credit is a measure of the amount of time you have participated in
UCRP. It is used to calculate benefits such as retirement income, lump sum cashout
and eligibility for retiree health insurance. To view your service credit, sign in to your account and select "Retirement Estimates" under "Retirement & Savings."
Service Credit Buyback
If you go on an approved leave of absence, you can buy back the service credit
