Under the Senior Management Supplemental Benefits Program, UC makes contributions to the Retirement Savings Program on behalf of the employee. Contributions are either 3 or 5 percent of the employee's monthly base salary, depending on the employee's appointment grade level, and subject to any limitations in the applicable Retirement Savings Program and/or the Internal Revenue Code.
Senior Managers in full-time (100 percent) appointments automatically participate in the program unless they:
- hold a tenured academic appointment (appointed after June 30, 1996); or
- are appointed in an acting or interim capacity.
