Class Concepts
Under close supervision, Odd Jobbers perform miscellaneous duties of a routine nature; and perform other related duties as required.
Incumbents move furniture, equipment, books, supplies, etc.; pack and unpack boxes; clean lockers, drawers, closets and storage areas; wash baskets; clean tennis courts; set up or take down chairs, tables, etc., for programs, registration, rehearsals, and other activities; distribute materials; set up or take down scenery, portable public address equipment, displays, etc.; run errands; and escort students to faculty advisors during registration.
This class is used for a variety of miscellaneous Jobs which typically involve unskilled manual labor, and for which incumbents do not have a continuing responsibility.
Minimum Qualifications
Ability to perform heavy manual tasks and follow oral and written instructions; and knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position.
