The University met with UPTE to begin negotiations on a successor contract for research support professional employees and technical employees on March 19-20 in Los Angeles and April 3, 2008, in Davis.
UC heard testimonials from union members, and continued to exchange proposals with UPTE. A great deal of work remains to be done at the bargaining table, and the University is committed to engaging in the negotiation process in good faith.
The parties will next meet on May 5-7 in Riverside.
