The Patient Care Technical Unit (EX), also referred to as PCT, is a systemwide bargaining unit of employees engaged primarily in the rendering of patient support services at UC's Medical Centers and in fewer numbers on UC's campuses. The unit is represented by the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME). Currently, the unit includes approximately 12,976* employees.
