In the second year, the enrollment remains at the increased level and the department has determined that Claire should be assigned the extra course. Claire should be permanently augmented to make the extra course part of her base percentage. If in future years, the enrollment declines and the second section eliminated, Claire must be given notice and her appointment reduced according to the provisions of Article 17.
