It is acknowledged that late appointments are inevitable due to last minute additions of courses, last minute budget allocations, other instructors who are unable to work etc. However, it is expected that late issuances would be the exception, not the rule. The goal is to give sufficient advance notice to those NSF who will be reappointed for the following academic year.
