Clarification: There are three ways to bring a grievance. Normally, grievances are filed by individuals who are represented by the Union. In addition the AFT itself may file a grievance. In such cases, the Union is grieving an alleged contract violation on behalf of all its affected members. Finally, a grievance may be filed by an individual NSF independent of the AFT.
