Information about UC-AFSCME negotiations: Service employees
UC has been bargaining with AFSCME for several months in an attempt to effect a good contract for UC service employees.
In its most recent meetings on January 30, 2008, UC proposed a 5 month contract extension along with a proposal worth approximately $2.8 million in wage increases for various employees. The union rejected the University's offer.
