UC met with the American Federation of Teachers on Friday, February 22 in order to continue successor bargaining for University librarians. At Friday's session, the union presented a number of counter proposals, including management rights and grievance procedure, and the University provided the union with counter proposals including nondiscrimination and benefits.
UC reached tentative agreement with the AFT on articles covering medical separation and reasonable accommodation.
The next bargaining session will be held on Monday, March 3rd in Irvine.
