Under the CIGNA Choice Fund plan, your beginning HRA amount is based on your enrollment effective date. Employees who enrolled in the CIGNA Choice Fund plan effective on January 1 will be able to use the full HRA balance during the plan year towards the deductible. New UC employees who enroll anytime after January will see HRA funds based on the following proration schedule. If you enroll in Choice Fund off plan year (February – December) you will receive a prorated HRA. However, if you continue to participate in Choice Fund the following year, you are eligible for the fully funded HRA beginning January 1, in addition to any prior unused balance. A fully-funded HRA will decrease your portion of your annual deductible (also called your Member Responsibility), in the subsequent plan year of your enrollment. |
