Health & Welfare Furlough Resources
Many of the plans in UC's comprehensive package of health & welfare benefits provide options for limiting your out-of-pocket costs as well as online tools to help you manage through difficult times.
Retirement Savings Program
While saving for retirement is important and helps keep your taxes lower, some employees may wish to reduce or suspend their 403(b) and 457(b) savings until times are better. Information about accessing your retirement savings via loans or hardship withdrawals and workshops on taking control of your finances is also available.
You can save on taxes (and thereby increase your take-home pay) by participating in the Health Flexible Spending Account, the DepCare Flexible Spending Account and/or the Pretax Transportation Program.
