The Faculty and Staff Assistance Program (otherwise known as the Employee Assistance Program) offers confidential, cost-free assessment, counseling, consultation, and referral services for faculty and staff. Whether the problem is work-related or personal; administrative or individual; involves your career or relationships; this program can assist you in recognizing and resolving problems. UC Faculty and Staff Assistance Program services are provided by licensed health clinicians.

Some of the services sought by those accessing the Faculty and Staff Assistance Program are:

  • Professional behavioral health care assessment and referral,
  • Consultation and referral to community resources such as financial or career counseling and dependent care,
  • Developing a strategy to solve a difficult problem,
  • Professional support when your personal life and/or work become too stressful,
  • (At some locations) consultation and support for departments or work units that are under stress, and
  • (At some locations) workplace violence assessment and intervention.
