qa_imageQ. I worked for the Texas State Government prior to joining UC Davis Medical Center and accumulated money in TEXA$AVER 401(k) plan. May I roll over that money to my UC 403(b) or 457(b) plan? Z.L., UC Davis

A. Yes, you can roll over your 401(k) plan money to the 403(b) or 457(b) Plans. Contact Fidelity Retirement Services (or 866-682-7787) for information and any forms you may need.

Q. I worked for UC Berkeley as a work study student, and, upon graduation, have continued to work for UC. I am wondering if my work study hours are calculated into my service credit and retirement benefits. Also, it would be helpful if At Your Service had a way to track our years of service to UC. C.P., UC Riverside

A. Student employees are not eligible for UCRP, thus your work study time is not counted toward your service credit.

Your service credit is available when you sign in to your personal account on At Your Service Online. On the At Your Service home page, select "Sign in to my accounts"; enter your username and password; then select Retirement Estimates. You will see your current service credit on that page.
