Beginning January 1, 2008, the behavioral health benefits (in-network providers only) for UC employees in Health Net, CIGNA, Western Health Advantage, Blue Cross PLUS and Blue Cross PPO (out-of-network providers are also available) will be covered by United Behavioral Health (UBH). These behavioral health benefits also will be available to those enrolled in a Kaiser - CA plan.

In order to ensure a smooth transition, you may be eligible for a transition of care benefit for up to six months. To be eligible, you must be in treatment with an in-network provider in your current plan, or in a plan that currently has out-of-network benefits and will only offer in-network benefits after January 1, 2008. Transition of care benefits are needed only if the provider is not in the UBH provider network.
