UC has added a grace period to the 2005 plan year for the Health Care Reimbursement Account and DepCare plans. Eligible expenses incurred for either plan through March 15, 2006 may be reimbursed from any balance remaining in the 2005 year account. Claims must be filed by June 15, 2006, but UC recommends you file early to avoid unnecessary problems. Individual account information is available on the SHPS online or by calling 1-877-270-3915.
Please note that the IRS requires that you "use it or lose it." This means that you will forfeit any money left in your DepCare or HCRA account after the June 15 deadline.

Generally, the emails that you might receive when you submit claims are simply acknowledgements — you need to check the website or call to determine if your claims have been approved or if more information is required to process your claim.
