Every year UC conducts surveys to measure participant satisfaction with its health and welfare plans. As in previous years, DSS Research, an independent research firm, surveyed UC members to measure satisfaction with the Anthem Blue Cross plans, Kaiser Permanente, Health Net and WHA. In addition, CIGNA, Liberty Mutual, Delta Dental and VSP conducted their own membership satisfaction surveys.

The survey results below are based on responses from UC plan members.

Other Plans

CIGNA Choice Fund: 87% of surveyed subscribers indicated they were satisfied with their medical plan election.

Delta Dental PPO: 98% of surveyed subscribers indicated they were satisfied with the plan.

DeltaCare USA: 85% of surveyed subscribers were satisfied with the plan.

Short-Term and Supplemental Disability: Liberty Mutual found that 94% of UC employees who filed claims in 2007 were satisfied overall with the claims process.

Vision Services Plan (VSP): The ratings indicate the percentage of respondents who answered good, very good or excellent regarding the issues listed during 2008.

  • Overall satisfaction with VSP: 99.1%
  • Overall level of service provided by VSP: 99%
  • Selection of VSP doctors to choose from: 98.3%
  • The ease of using your eye-care plan: 100%
